The young women who specialize in cooking attend cookery classes on a daily basis throughout one year. They are taught to cook local as well as international food.

For 3 months the girls will attend a practical internship in local hotels and restaurants where they can further develop their skills

Some of the dishes the girls learn how to cook are:

Traditional Tanzanian food

  • Banana Stew
  • Bean Dishes
  • Ugali with beef, vegetables or fish
  • Chips Mayai (Fries with eggs)
  • Mixed Vegetables
  • Pilau, Chapati, Potatoes
  • Sambusa
  • Maandazi
  • Fruit Salad, Fruit platter

International Food

  • Soups (Pumpkin, potato, vegetable)
  • Burger (Beef or Egg)
  • Pasta
  • Rice Dishes
  • Vegetable Dishes
  • Pancakes
  • Donuts
