Many girls and young women are at a high level of desperation when they arrive at Faraja. Some of them were at the point to commit suicide as they did not see any way out of their current situation. For those girls and young women who have experienced trauma, such as severe physical or sexual abuse, we offer counseling with social workers and psychologists. By doing this we help them to come over their traumas and enable their rehabilitation and coming back to a normal and joyful life.
We also work with lawyers in trying to achieve justice for the girls by taking their individual cases to court. Thanks to our donors we are able to pay the court fees in order to present cases of forced child marriage, human trafficking or sexual abuse.
